Question: Why doesn’t a shipping charge show up in my cart?
Answer: At Pittsburgh Street Soapworks, we charge only EXACT USPS shipping charges (we don’t add handling–you pay exactly what we pay. Since it’s nearly impossible for a cart to calculate box size, weight and packing, we figure your shipping separately. We will email you a total with shipping if you’re paying by check or send a separate invoice for shipping if you pay by PayPal. If you’re ordering samples only, your total is 6.00 per 6-pack. No additional shipping is added. All orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail, except sample-only orders, which are shipped first class. If you would like a shipping quote prior to ordering, just email us with your list or products and your zip code and we’ll be happy to quote shipping!
Question: Do you accept credit cards?
Answer: Yes. PayPal is our 100% secure credit card processor. Just choose the “PayPal” option at checkout and follow the instructions to pay. You DO NOT have to have to be a PayPal member to pay by credit card.
Question: Can I pay by check?
Answer: Absolutely. Just choose the “I Will Send A Check” option at checkout. We’ll email you with a total with shipping and instructions as to where to send your check.
Question: What is your turnaround time?
Answer: Our turnaround is usually 2-3 business days. During the holiday season, we may take a little longer. When we send you your shipping invoice, we’ll let you know when your order will ship.
Question: Can I track my order?
Answer: You will receive a trackable shipping notice when your order ships. Sample-only orders are shipped first class with no tracking.
Question: I don’t like the scent! Can I return my order?
Answer: Unfortunately, items are custom-scented to order, so we cannot accept returns for scent. If you’re unsure about a fragrance, please order samples first. If you have a problem with the quality of an item that you receive, please don’t hesitate to email us. We’ll be happy to work with you to resolve your problem.
Question: I noticed that your shopping cart doesn’t have an “Extra Scent” option. Can I still get extra shots added to my products if I want them?
Answer: Sure–just specify your extra fragrance in the “Special Instructions” area at checkout and we’ll add the charges when we send your shipping total. Extra “shots” of fragrance are .50 each (except in cologne–they’re 1.00). Items that CANNOT have extra scent are: bath gels, dusting powder, roll-on and solid perfume, EDP sprays, diffuser oils and palm wax tarts.
Question: Why did my fragrance show up on the drop-down menu if it’s out of stock?
Answer: Although we try to keep all fragrances in stock at all times, we will occasionally be out of 1 or 2. Please check our FRAGRANCE LIST page before ordering. Any out-of-stocks will be listed there.
